Once known as the unstoppable Pac-Man, it seems that his career has been on the downward ever since he had lost his Welter Weight Title to Timothy Bradley. After that he was knocked out by career rival Juan Manuel Marquez. Manny has never lost 2 fights in a row and the last time he even lost a fight before Bradley was in 2005 against Erik Morales.
To be successful as a Boxer or fighter it is very difficult to stay on top. People can be fans of you one day than drop you like a fly the next if you are not keeping up with the wins. Not many fighters last after losing more than 2 fights consecutively and Manny could be looking to retire if he loses his next fight against Brandon Rios. Rios could indefinitely endanger Pacquiaos career, he is an uprising and young fighter out of Oxnard, California. He is 31-1 with 23 of the wins coming from knockouts. Manny on the other hand is 54-5 but, 3 of his loses are in result from KO’s. With Rio’s coming fresh off the only loss of his career he be ready to redeem himself and Manny should be on the defense or he could be on his way out of the ring for good.
